How far along? 30 weeks + 2 days
Maternity clothes? I wear maternity pants exclusively these days. I find that one pair of my normal jeans still fit okay but as I’m not currently in the market for a new job as a plumber, the maternity pants offer more appropriate coverage. Shirts are still just a few maternity shirts mixed in with my regular shirts. I’m determined to wear normal shirts/sweaters as long as I can hold out. Some are definitely only BARELY long enough.
Sleep: Still sleeping pretty well. I wake up usually once a night to go to the bathroom but then can usually fall back to sleep.
Best moment this week: Touring the hospital where Baby will be born. It’s amazing how much more real this situation felt when I was sitting in a labor & delivery room taking it all in.
Miss Anything? Nothing in particular comes to mind. It’s getting slightly harder to reach my shoes to tie them but that’s why God gave us flats.
Movement: All the time! It’s still harder to pay attention when I’m running around work dealing with whatever craziness that day brings, but on days off I feel Baby all day. Auntie Nikki even got to witness an “Alien” moment where she could see my belly moving from across the couch. It’s so crazy!
Food cravings: Nothing insatiable. I find more that the power of suggestion is still the strongest factor in wanting random items.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope! Feeling awesome.
Have you started to show yet: Yes! I think this belly is large and in charge but everyone keeps telling me that I’m small or tiny for being 30 weeks. However people are FINALLY certain enough to ask me when I’m due, haha. The waiter at Chili’s even brought me two spoons for my soup the other night since I’m eating for two.
Gender: Surprise! The funny thing is that I spend SO LITTLE time thinking about whether Baby is a boy or a girl that it’s hysterical to me how much it makes other people crazy.
Belly Button in or out? It’s holding on for dear life at this point. I keep thinking that I’m going to wake up one morning and it’s going to have popped out.
Wedding rings on or off? Off, but I found a chain thick enough that I can now wear it around my neck. The infants and toddlers at work have a habit of pulling on my necklaces so there was no way I could wear it with a thin chain. I can’t wait until I can wear it on my finger again I miss it!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: My virtual baby shower today and seeing people I love from back home in California (even if only on my computer screen), Mom & Dad’s visit, Thanksgiving, Colorado baby shower, visiting the family in Victorville, my birthday, Rabon family visit, Christmas, New Year’s, and our 7 year anniversary of being together. And all of that BEFORE Baby comes! Whew!
